Groups & Classes
We offer a wide variety of classes and discussion groups, but most are on hiatus for the summer. Be sure to check back in the fall for the latest information and offerings.
Book Discussion Group
This monthly book discussion group welcomes new members. We meet monthly in people's homes. Contact Pat Nelson or Drusie Rosegrant for more information.
Building & Grounds Work Crew
This group generally meets at the church on Tuesday mornings at 9:30. We do general maintence of the church and upkeep of the grounds.
Chalice Circles
Chalice Circles are small groups of 7-9 people which meet monthly according to mutually agreed upon schedules. Each meeting addresses a different topic of mutual interest, concern and experience, within the context of the religious life. Discussions follow a format designed to increase sharing of personal experience, with chalice lighting, readings, silence, check-in, discussion, and closing. If you are interested or have questions, contact Jill McAllister.
Facing Life, Facing Death
This is an open discussion group that meets on the second Monday of the month at noon in the Library. We consider our experiences and imaginations of dealing with aging and facing death. Specific topics are decided by the group. Reading materials are available, and all ages are welcome. Feel free to bring a lunch.
Knitting Group
If you are a knitter, crotcheter or seamstress and would like to take part in a social justice project to warm those in need in our community. Last year we made hats, mittens, and scarves which we donated to groups like Ministry with Community. Contact Jeme Baker for more information.
Meditation Group
Meets on the first Sunday of the month at 7 p.m. to support each other in our meditation practices.
Men's Discussion Group
The Men’s Discussion Group meets at 10 a.m. in the church library on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month. Despite the title, both men and women are welcome to participate. Topics are chosen by participants who volunteer to prepare a brief reading and lead the discussion. For more information, contact Dick Klade.
The Study Group
The Study Group is an open, monthly discussion of religious and spiritual topics that attendees choose for themselves. All are invited to join. Contact Jill McAllister for more information.
