What is Martha's Table?

Martha's Table is a shared worship service and a meal which brings homeless guests and partner churches together in fellowship. This shared experience is held every Sunday at 4:00 p.m. (service) with the meal being served immediately following. People's Church hosts the service and meal once every couple of months.

Why "Martha's Table"?

Wisdom from the Christian Tradition

In the gospel of Luke, Jesus reminded his worried and anxious hostess, Martha, to be present to her guests and not consumed by her "to-do" list. In short, Jesus urged Martha to put relationship first.

Therefore, the purpose of Martha's Table is to provide an intimate environment for church communities and homeless or needy guests to build nurturing, long term, mutually transforming relationships with one another.
