Other Ceremony Information
MINISTER
You may use our minister (if available) or any authorized person (we will need a letter submitted by them on their letterhead stating their credentials and that they are officiating the ceremony) of your choice to perform your ceremony. As a professional courtesy, Reverend McAllister would like to speak with or meet the authorized person about the ceremony arrangements.
If Reverend Jill McAllister is to officiate, she will ask to meet with the couple to plan the ceremony.
DEPOSIT
The deposit holds your ceremony date on People's calendar. Your deposit will be refunded within 2 weeks after the ceremony providing you have left the church in good condition. If, after the event, any facilities and/or equipment are discovered damaged, the full amount of the deposit will be retained and any billing for added costs or repairs will be made. If your ceremony is cancelled, the church will retain the deposit.
Suggestion: It may be helpful to organize a few friends to have clean up duty immediately after the ceremony to relieve the participants from that duty.
PAYMENT
Payment in full is due 1 month before ceremony.
MUSIC
We can provide a list of musicians and vocalists who may be available to provide music for your ceremony. They quote their own fees. You are welcome to use the piano located in the Commons. There is an added fee for the use of the organ (see fee schedule).
SOUND SYSTEM
Previous arrangements must be made for the use of the microphone, taped music or if you wish to have your service taped.
TIME OF SERVICE
There is a 5 hour time limit (from set up to finish) for the ceremony and 2 hours for the rehearsal. You may purchase an extra hour for $80. You may decorate/set up during your scheduled 5-hour ceremony time frame, not during the rehearsal. Participants will not be admitted before the scheduled opening time.
PLEASE NOTE
- Food, candy, or drink is not allowed in the Commons area. Absolutely no alcoholic beverages.
- We are not responsible for any property or belongings left inside the church or on the grounds.
- Due to environmental conerns, flower petals or bird seed are acceptable alternatives to rice or confetti.
- Church furnishings should be left as you find them.
